MY FIRST ENGLISH DEBATE IN MY LIFE..
I
not agree with the statements of affirmatives team that “The English should be the only medium in
design” why only English language should be medium in design? For
me any language in this world can be use to answer about design beauty and
aesthetic taste. For example we live in Malaysia right? In this country we have
multicultural race and even a language.
I think more better if we can speak and
used metalanguage than used English only. Why?. Because when we can speak
many different language like Malay , mandarin and Tamil. We can use this
advantage to communicate and interpret our aesthetic design taste and opinion to other country like china and India.
It sound great right, and we can show to the world that we are compatible
because we can speak in their language. This situation better than we only
speak English with them, maybe some of them may not compatible with it. I think
this can get more confidence all people to our country.
So
, i think more better if we know many language easy for us to communicate in
many language and not everybody understand and fluent in English. I think Malay
, India and china language have more metaphor and near to our heart and
emotion. If we know many language we can learning about implicit and explicit
meaning.
Conclusion,
I strong believe that other language and know many language is more better than
English to be used as a medium in design. I fell that other language is more
understand than English language because English language is really hard to
understand especially in design aesthetic.
